It's my birthday!

Yup, it is my birthday and in the words of a very famous song...I'll cry if I want to! A little sad and a little glad today. Sad because due to my health this year and a recent out of province move I will not be able to attend the Muse Publishing retreat. Glad because I fell into a new job as reporter and columnist of my local newspaper. Sad because I miss my old friends but glad because I have met so many new ones this last year like, Gowan, Susan Powter, Joshua Estrin, Heart, Lea Schizas and all the rest of the awesome MuseItUp publishing crew. This has been a year filled with amazing happenings like Gowan allowing me to use such a beautiful song for my debut trailer, seeing Banff Alberta in the winter for the first time with my amazing content editor Nancy Bell and recieving 2- 5 star reviews on my first novel 'Guilty Kisses' and having one of my author idols, Jo Beverley guest on my blog. Yes there has been some trying times but what doesn't break us makes us stronger. I truely believe that. What will this year have in store for me? Well, I hope I get to interview some awe inspiring celebs, yes, I mean you Lawrence Gowan, a 'stalker author' is not complete without her stalkie now is she? LOL. A few other dreams I have are to see the Vancouver Canucks actually win the Stanley Cup, Gowan do a western Canada concert, meet Celebuzz in person, get an agent and of course someday have a book on the New York Times best seller list. Maybe not in that order...When hell freezes over you say? I hear we are in for an extra nasty cold spell up here in Canada so here's hoping! A girl can dream can't she? After all, without dreams none of my historical romances would have ever come to life on the page. So, happy birthday to me! Open a bottle of bubbly and PARTY like its 1995!

Life goes on...

Medically it has been a long summer for the Sheffield family dealing with cancer in a number of family members, a move and various medical proceedures. I think it is safe to say things are starting to settle down and now it is time to get back to what I love- writing and giving away books!
September 16th marks my second historical romance release with MuseItUp Publishing. Those of you who have read my debut historical romance 'Guilty Kisses' (advailable both in ebook and paperback from your fav bookstore) you will find my second romance a little more spirited than the last. A gutsy highwaywoman and a suicidal lord go head to head in 'Stand & Deliver Your Heart'. It remains to be seen who will win and deliver their heart in this one!

Guilty Kisses Update

My debut novel Guilty Kisses was released in ebook June 3rd and has been well recieved with 2 fantastic reviews so far. In additon the Guilty Kisses trailer featuring Canadian singer/song writer Lawrence Gowan's song 'Love Makes You Believe' won the June You Gotta Read Videos contest. Wait, there is more to celebrate! Guilty Kisses is now advailable in paperback at www.museituppublishing.com , amazon.com , and Barns & Noble! Whoo hoo!
